New Vulnerable Video: Thoughts about the 10 year anniversary of my best friends death
It’s been 10 years since my bestie Deb Hubsmith died at the young age of 46 from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed!
In this vulnerable video, I share some of my thoughts and reflections about how strange it is to have a beloved friend die young and how she’s always encapsulated in my mind as being 45 years old.
I also talk about the process of grief in a raw and real manner. In our grief phobic culture, I believe it’s VITALLY IMPORTANT to speak and name our grief, to release it. This is HEALTHY & NORMAL!
I talk about my process of witnessing the deaths of so many young friends to cancer, my own process of almost dying from cancer, my current journey of grieving my parents and the new gift of life that has recently occurred.
I hope you enjoy this video and it brings awareness, comfort and healing if you are grieving someone close to you. Please like and comment on the video to help boost the algorithm of it.
